What is Excalibur? Excalibur is an off-road event in the Clwydian Range of North Wales.
How do you get there? To get to Coed Moel Famau Car Park, leave the A494 between Mold and Ruthin for Tafarn Y Gelyn and follow the signs for Moel Famau. The carpark and start/finish area is clearly visible on this road on the right hand side, located in the forest of Moel Famau, below the highest peak within the Clwydian Range. You can use the Grid Reference SJ171611.
What time does it start? The marathon and half marathon will start at the same time at 9.30am. The 10k will start at 10.30am. Anybody entering with a dog and harness (canicross) will start a short time after the main race (this delay will be taken into consideration)
Can you only enter online? Yes, you can only enter Excalibur by signing up through this website.
What do you get for the registration fee? Entry into one of the best trail races in North Wales, a Ron Hill technical commemorative T shirt and medal in your goodie bag. The race is well marshalled with qualified first aiders and feed stations. In the race village will be a catering van selling hearty food from The Original Catering Company and Hafod Brewery bar selling our specially brewed Excalibur Ale. The first three to finish in the Marathon and Half Marathon events will get Vouchers for Inov8 gear from The Runners Hub. £100 first place, £50 second place and £25 third place.
